Many different courses are offered at Missa in different time frames, from two-day weekend workshops to five and ten-day sessions, depending on the complexity of the course content. Instructors are selected internationally for their special skills, and include many of the top professionals in their various media. We share the beautiful Pearson College campus with much wildlife, such as deer, raccoons, harbor seals, occasional sealions, otters and innumerable species of bird life.
Following are a number of images of workplaces and work being done this year in Ceramics, Painting, Drawing, Textiles, Printmaking, Paper Collage, Jewelry, Sculpture, Poetry and Creative Writing.

The above images are a random selection from the first week of MISSA's July session, 2012. All being well, I will be doing further postings next week on Wednesday, July 11th and Sunday, July 15th. These will focus on a group of new courses. There will be a total of four postings that make up the Metchosin International Summer School of the Arts - 2012 File.
SEE YOU NEXT TIME, ROBIN

ReplyDeleteI think that's how Australia will have to go, now that the TAFE (tertiary technical colleges, government run.) fine arts and ceramic courses are under going serious changes with price hikes and dismantling, but it have to be affordable, because there are many low income, would be participants that would miss out.It great to see your enlightened course of action bearing fruit.Your blog is an inspiration on a lot of levels.sincerely, Krista .
